Alaska Halibut Fishing

Our halibut fishing is done with All-Star and Loomis stand up tuna rods fitted with shimano TLD's both in single and two speed. The reels are spooled with 80 lb izorline spectra.

Alaska halibut fishing in Sitka is outstanding. So outstanding that it will sometimes seem like work. These leviathans of the deep will test both your strength and fortitude. They are excellent table fare, especially the "chickens" in the sub 50 lb class. These halibut average about 40 lbs and can range to over 300 lbs.
